With around 10,500 attendees, the DKOU is the most important congress in the field of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in Germany and the largest of its sector in Europe. The congress is hosted by the German Society of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery (DGOU), the German Society of Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery (DGOOC), the German Society for Trauma Surgery (DGU) and the Professional Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (BVOU).

The unification od Orthopaedic and Trauma has been completed and maintained the diversity of the multifaceted field.
Orthopaedic and trauma surgeons have the privilege of treating our patients from infancy to an advanced age, from conservative therapy to 3D-supported surgery in Hybrid-ORs, from simple injury to polytrauma. It is this diversity and appeal of the field that should be explored in depth during the largest conference of orthopaedics and trauma surgery in Europe.
