DKOU 2016: Back to the Future

With over 11,200 attendees, the DKOU is the most important congress in the field of Orthopaedics and Traumatology in Germany and the largest of its sector in Europe. The congress is hosted by the German Society of Orthopedics and Orthopedic Surgery (DGOOC), the German Society for Trauma Surgery (DGU) and the Professional Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (BVOU).

This years's motto „Back to the Future“ reflects the continuing challenges which orthopaedists and trauma surgeons have to face daily:  to balance experience on the one hand and technological innovations on the other hand. Because innovations and hightech characterize the field of orthopaedics and traumatology increasingly.  Tradition and modernity are shaping the professional routine of the doctors.
