The objective of the Sektion Osteologie [Osteology Section] is the promotion of research, teaching, and medical care with regard to illnesses and adverse changes in bone metabolism (and related illnesses) in patients of all ages, as well as their effects and consequences for biomechanics, fracture healing and healing of implants.
A further objective is the optimisation of the points of contact between in-patient and out-patient departments, in addition to between the areas of traumatology and orthopaedics.
