The aim of the der Deutschen Hüftgesellschaft [German Hip Society] (DHG) is to improve the quality of care in treating illnesses and injuries of the hip joint and pelvis across Germany for patients of all ages. A platform for information exchange on activities relating to research, development and advanced training in this area is to be created.
Additionally, scientific, technological, biological and practical issues in the field of hip and pelvic disorders are to be promoted.
A further focal point is the scientific exchange of existing and planned research projects, coming to agreements on the future development of higher-level quality assurance measures, as well as the utilisation and evaluation of knowledge and experience those working in this sector.
A further aim is to collaborate with national and international committees, professional society and working groups, as well as coordination of public relations activities of the collaborating partners.
