The AE – Deutsche Gesellschaft für Endoprothetik [German Society for Endoprosthetics], is a section of the German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma (DGOU). It is responsible for all questions relating to endoprosthetics.
The AE was established in 1996 in Regensburg as a non-profit association. Members of the AE are leading orthopaedists, trauma surgeons and scientists concerned with the issues of endoprosthetics and alternative treatment methods for the preservation of joints.
