Committees and Groups of the DGOU

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie [German Society for Orthopaedics and Trauma] (DGOU) has different committees and groups.

The sections of the DGOU have the objective of further developing the individual specialist areas within the field of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery.

The working groups of the DGOU deal with specific scientific questions with the field of Orthopaedics and Trauma Surgery.

The 3 committees of the DGOU act as advisers to the board regarding particular issues affecting the Association. They prepare the decisions of the board and give their recommendations.

Department of International Affairs

The Department of International Affairs coordinates the extensive number of contacts and activities of the DGOU with other national and international professional societies and associations.

Young Forum O&U

The Young Forum O&U is a joint youth organization of the DGOU and BVOU. It represents the interests of students of medicine, assisting doctors undertaking further training, specialists and young doctors in the O&U field.

Mid-level Forum O&U

The Mid-level Forum O&U of the DGOU represents the interests of non-autonomous and partly autonomous doctors.
